The Great Bay Radio Association
The Great Bay Amateur Radio Assoc - W1FZ meets the 2nd Monday of each month. The Club meeting starts at 7:00pm at the Rochester Community Center on Wakefield St.(Rt.125)
The Great Bay Radio Association is an ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Affiliated Club founded in 1933. The Club participates in a number of Public Service Events each year, including providing radio communications for the Barrington Peeper 5k Run, Spirit of Recovery 5k, and the Somersworth, Dover, and Rochester Christmas Parades.
The Club provides Amateur Radio License Classes for all three levels of Amateur Radio. We also provide Test Sessions for those wishing to become an Amateur Radio Operator or those wishing to upgrade their exsisting license. The Club offers support to the local Amateur Radio Community in the form of help in erecting antennas, questions on operating procedures, help with setting up your first station, and hopefully, answers to repair and equipment problems. If you are interested in joining the GBRA, please attend a meeting. Everyone, licensed amateur or not is welcome. Dues are $20.00 per year per individual or $25 a year for a family membership. If you attend, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We hope to see you there
